We like to get together for all kinds of reasons, from serious discussion of weighty matters to parading in silly costumes. Check our calendar and sign up for our newsletter (sidebar) to find out what we’re up to.
General Membership Meetings: We often meet at 6 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month, usually with a program before the business meeting. These meetings are open to the public and they involve cookies.
Executive Board Meetings: At 6 p.m. on the second Monday of the month, the Executive Board meets to conduct the business of the organization, to organize upcoming work, and to bring up issues we need to consider.
Dems Dine Out! Come get to know us in a casual setting. In the second week of the month we often dine together in a local restaurant. This is a low-key event has few speeches and lots of sparkling conversation.
Fish Feast: Join hundreds of Democrats to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Port Townsend on a Sunday in late summer. We share the bounty of our area and check in with each other about what’s been going on, and anticipate coming elections. The Governor and other state officials, our representatives in Congress and the Legislature, and many other officials and candidates are often on hand to inform and inspire us. This is our main fundraiser of the year.
Jefferson County Fair: Our old-fashioned county fair in August is a good time to connect with the public and with each other. We always have a big booth where we can greet our friends and share the latest news. You can also meet our elected public officials there.
Rhododendron Parade: We march together in May, joined by our elected officials and candidates.
Holiday Party: In December, we celebrate another year together. For the last few years we’ve held it at the Timberhouse in Quilcene.
